The 3rd annual meeting of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Engineered Living Materials (ELM) Portfolio was held 1–2 October 2025, at the University of Primorska’s InnoRenew CoE in Izola. The two-day event offered a rich program of scientific presentations, training, discussions, and networking opportunities. Joining the meeting were all the portfolio projects, along with their collaborating researchers and industry partners, as well as external experts from across Europe.

The meeting, hosted by the REMEDY project, started with opening remarks from its coordinator Anna Sandak and Orsolya Symmons, EIC Programme Manager in Health and Biotechnology.

PRISM-LT’s early-career researchers and — Xiang Li and Maria Clara Gomes — gave their two minutes flash presentations, chaired by Wilfried Weber, to introduce their posters before a networking and hands-on session.

Leading experts discussed regulatory challenges, while trailblazers shared insights on commercialising emerging and innovative products, as well as securing investor support. The event was packed with engaging presentations, a poster session, dynamic workshops, and rewarding networking opportunities, all of which enhanced collaboration within our vibrant ELMs community.
